Great post - finally got the chance to read it properly! Watching how Meta is pivoting hard into VR, including a new operating system (software and hardware) for work-from-anywhere employees to engage virtually....
IMO Apple doesn't need to worry about the opportunity "slipping away" so to speak. They can always at any time just turn on their own bot and push it out to everyone because they own the platform. They were able to wreck a deca-billion dollar well-established mobile advertising business and put the revenue straight into their own pocket - I think they can do the same here. That said, I am near 100% certain that they are actively figuring out how to upgrade Siri with LLMs. The experience of having a digital assistant built on top of an LLM will be so superior that they will have to offer one or risk losing users, the only question will be is it built on their own LLM or do they license.

Thanks Benjamin! Next 12 months are going to be crazy, think voice - if it comes - unlocks quite a bit
To your knowledge is Apple doing anything about all this chatbot so assistants or letting it slip away?
